Book Production
Imago’s independent position gives us the flexibility to fulfil the widest range of requirements in the area of conventional and speciality bookwork and other print applications.
High or low print runs, long or short extents, colour or mono printing, sheetfed or web, from PDF files or film - everything is possible because we are not restricted by the limitations of any particular factory. Our production offices make regular visits to each plant and understand the strengths and capabilities of each, enabling us to pinpoint the right supplier for your job.
We have access to a full range of cased and limp binding facilities including sewn, notch and perfect binding, flexi-binding, wire-o, spiral, reinforced bindings and even hand binding for special formats. Also a complete range of secondary processes including laminating and varnishing, foil stamping, embossing, silk screen printing, diecutting, punching, flocking and edge-gilding.
Quality Control
All Imago suppliers operate internationally recognised quality control systems and Imago runs spot checks throughout the year through an independent inspection company to ensure standards are being adhered to. Each new supplier, including those supplying one-off components, is vetted by our production staff before work is committed.
Our staff regularly monitor jobs on press and have checking procedures in place to ensure each job is of the highest quality. The provision of proofs, plotters, running sheets (optional) and advance copies enable you to personally approve quality at each key point during the job’s cycle.
