Colour Profiles
Imago recommend that the following Fogra 39L profile is used when converting from RGB to CMYK and when proofing digitally for work that is to be printed 4 colour on coated / matt papers.

A link to the Coated Fogra39 (ISO 12647-2:2004) profile is below. The profile is from Adobe's website and is supplied together as part of the Adobe Creative Suite 4 software :

The above profile is particularly suited for coated papers. It may be used for uncoated as well but because of the variable shades and surfaces of uncoated papers it may not be totally accurate. If the colour in your book is critical, then we cannot yet recommend a standard profile for uncoated papers and would suggest instead that the colour conversions are best handled by the repro house based on test proofing on the specific paper.
