How far in advance do I need to confirm my order?

Wherever possible we buy paper available from local stocks at the point of your order confirmation. If you have time, however, and certainly for larger orders we order paper on special indent which means it is made to size with minimum wastage and resulting cost benefits. For orders on special indent we do require your confirmation 2 months before the file / film to printer date.

What sort of timescale is involved in producing a book?

The schedules we offer vary according to the complexity of the project and the size of order. For a standard four colour book, 256pp, 10-20,000 copies from PDF files we generally require 4 weeks to produce the books from the plotter approval date.

How long does it take to ship goods?

If manufacturing in the Far East you will need to allow about a month (3 weeks for shipping plus 1 week for customs clearance and inland delivery) for delivery to Europe / USA East Coast. Allow 2 weeks for USA West Coast ports and Sydney plus 1 week for customs clearance and inland delivery.

Can I deal directly with Imago’s staff in Asia?

This is entirely your choice. Once you have placed your order, if you prefer to have direct access to our “on the ground” production staff in Hong Kong and Singapore then they will communicate with you directly as the job progresses through production. If you feel more comfortable, however, talking to someone locally then one of our production team from your local sales office will be your main point of contact throughout the course of your job.
